The IDEAL Council is an international group of surgeons and researchers in surgical and other complex interventions, methodologists, statisticians, journal editors and experts in the translation of research into clinical practice.
The IDEAL Collaboration consists of a core IDEAL Council that direct the activities of IDEAL and a variety of specialist Advisors.
Our core Council meets quarterly by teleconference to plan and review the ongoing activities of IDEAL
The Collaboration is coordinated from the University of Oxford, Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences.

Advisors serve up to 3 years in the role. They receive documentation pertaining to all Council teleconferences and are given the opportunity to join calls and advise on their particular areas of expertise and interest.
